+SIRENE API
Look up and search French companies from the SIRENE register as clean JSON.
The API.SH SIRENE API returns French company data from the national SIRENE and RNE register as JSON. Look up a company by SIREN or SIRET for its names, status, NAF activity, legal form, headcount band, VAT number, revenue and net income by year, labels, head office address and directors. Or search by name, address or any public filter: NAF code, department, region, legal form, company category, headcount and revenue range.

API.SH vs the official SIRENE API
SIRENE is run by INSEE, and its official API Sirene is free but needs an INSEE developer-portal account and a bearer token, with rate limits; an open-data version also exists on data.gouv.fr. API.SH needs no INSEE account and adds revenue, net income, labels and directors in the same JSON as every other platform.
A simpler alternative to wiring up INSEE tokens, hosting an open-data mirror, or paying Apify and RapidAPI actors: one key, one JSON shape and a fixed price per call.
SIRENE API questions
What SIRENE data can I get?+
One French company by SIREN with directors, revenue and establishments (/sirene/v1/company) and company search by name, SIREN, SIRET, address and filters such as NAF code, region and legal form (/sirene/v1/search).
How much does the SIRENE API cost?+
Every SIRENE endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /sirene/v1/company at 1 credit each.
Is there an official SIRENE API?+
Yes. INSEE runs the official API Sirene; it is free but needs an account and token on the INSEE developer portal. API.SH is an alternative that needs no INSEE account and returns revenue, labels and directors alongside the register fields.
Do I need a SIRENE account or login?+
No. API.SH needs no INSEE account, token or login of any kind. It reads public register data only.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key from the dashboard. 3. Call /sirene/v1/company with a SIREN with your key. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
Can I search SIRENE by SIRET or by name?+
Yes. /sirene/v1/search accepts a name, SIREN, SIRET or address in q, and /sirene/v1/company takes a SIREN (or one of its establishments' SIRET) and returns the matching establishments.
Does it include directors and finances?+
Yes. Directors appear with name and role (people) or name, SIREN and role (companies); birth dates are not included. Revenue and net income are returned by year where the register has them.
