A film on The Movie Database by id or link: title, year, tagline, overview, user score, vote average and count, certification and release (for the page's region), genres, runtime, poster and backdrop, featured crew (director, writers), top-billed cast with characters, keywords, homepage and social links, status, original title and language, budget, revenue, countries, release date, the collection id the film belongs to, the headline where-to-watch offer (streaming: provider, kind of offer, logo, watch link), the featured trailer (featured_video: site, key, name, link), media counts (videos, backdrops, posters) and the featured user review (author, date, excerpt, link). Opt in with include for more, each one more page read: recommendations (similar titles with user score), watch_providers (every stream, rent and buy offer in region with provider, price, quality and link) and videos (trailers with type, duration, publish date, channel and link).

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Parameters

nametypedescription
id string TMDB movie id, e.g. 550 (Fight Club). Example: 550

Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/tmdb/v1/movie?id=550" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
