Search PubMed's 38M+ biomedical citations with PubMed's own query syntax (fields such as [mh], [au], [ta], boolean operators) plus filters: author, journal, publication type, free full text, has abstract, language and a date range on publication, entry or modification date; sort by relevance, newest, author, journal or title. Each result has PMID, title, authors, journal, dates, volume, issue, pages, languages, publication types, DOI, PMCID and PMC citation count. Pass next_page back as page (first 10,000 results).

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/pubmed/v1/search?q=crispr+gene+therapy" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
