How much does the Stocktwits API cost?+

Every Stocktwits endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.

Is there a free Stocktwits API?+

Stocktwits is not issuing new free developer keys. On API.SH, every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /stocktwits/v1/search at 1 credit each.

Is there an official Stocktwits API?+

Yes, but its developer portal is not accepting new registrations, and sentiment and full-stream data are offered through enterprise contracts. API.SH returns the public Stocktwits data you can see on the site without a developer key.

Do I need a Stocktwits account or login?+

No. API.SH reads public Stocktwits pages only. No endpoint uses a login, cookies or anyone's account, and it cannot post messages.

Yes. /stocktwits/v1/sentiment returns a symbol's daily bullish and bearish percentages for about the last month plus the tally of its latest messages. Each message in /stocktwits/v1/stream also carries the poster's bullish or bearish tag.

Can I use it from Python?+

Yes. It is a plain HTTPS API returning JSON, so requests or the API.SH Python SDK work. Pass next_cursor back as cursor to page through streams.
