+StepStone API
Search StepStone.de and Totaljobs and pull full job ads, salary ranges and employer details as JSON.
The API.SH StepStone API turns public StepStone.de job pages into structured JSON. Search Germany's job market by keyword and location with radius, posting age, home office, full or part time, minimum salary and every facet the results page offers, then fetch any ad in full: its sections (about us, tasks, profile, benefits), company, address, contract and employment type, industry, dates and salary range. Set country to uk to search Totaljobs, StepStone's UK board, with the same fields.

API.SH vs the official StepStone API
StepStone's official API (api.stepstone.com) is built for employers and applicant tracking systems: job feeds that push or pull postings onto StepStone, Apply via API and quality signals webhooks. It is not a public job search API. API.SH reads public StepStone.de and Totaljobs listings and needs no partner setup.
Most StepStone scraper results are Apify actors with different output formats. API.SH gives one key, one JSON shape across many sites and a fixed price per call, with no scraper to run or maintain.
StepStone API questions
What StepStone data can I get?+
Job search results with facets and totals (/stepstone/v1/search) and one full job ad with sections, company, location, contract type, dates and salary range (/stepstone/v1/job). Set country=uk on search to use Totaljobs, and pass a totaljobs.com job URL to the job route.
How much does the StepStone API cost?+
Every StepStone endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /stepstone/v1/job at 1 credit each.
Is there an official StepStone API?+
Yes, but it is for employers and ATS vendors posting jobs and receiving applications (job feeds, Apply via API, webhooks). It does not offer public job search. API.SH covers the reading side: public job ads as JSON.
Do I need a StepStone account or API key from StepStone?+
No. API.SH reads public StepStone pages only. You use your API.SH key; no StepStone login, partner ID or feed contract is needed.
Can I get salary data from StepStone?+
Yes. The job route returns the ad's salary range, or StepStone's own estimate when the ad shows none, and search takes a minimum salary filter.
Is there a StepStone jobs API for the UK?+
Yes. StepStone runs Totaljobs in the UK. Pass country=uk to the search route to search Totaljobs with the same fields and facets.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /stepstone/v1/search with q=python and location=berlin, then pass a job id to /stepstone/v1/job. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
