+KuCoin API
KuCoin spot prices, order books, candles, trades and pair rules as JSON, with no exchange API key.
The API.SH KuCoin API returns public KuCoin spot market data as JSON. Read a pair's ticker, its order book, recent trades and candles, rank every pair in a quote currency by volume, change or price, and list every spot pair with its trading rules, sizes and fee category. It reads market data only: no orders, balances or account access.

API.SH vs the official KuCoin API
KuCoin has an official API with public documentation and SDKs for Python, Go and Node.js. Trading and account calls need API keys from your KuCoin account, and the official API also covers trading and futures. API.SH covers public spot market data only, needs no exchange keys and returns it in the same JSON shape as the other sites on API.SH.
If you only need prices, books and candles, API.SH saves you from setting up exchange keys, signing requests and parsing a different format per site, and it is simpler than comparing RapidAPI and Apify listings.
KuCoin API questions
What KuCoin data can I get?+
Single-pair tickers (/kucoin/v1/ticker), tickers for every pair in a quote currency (/kucoin/v1/tickers), candles (/kucoin/v1/klines), order books (/kucoin/v1/orderbook), recent trades (/kucoin/v1/trades) and the full spot pair list with trading rules (/kucoin/v1/symbols).
How much does the KuCoin API cost?+
Every KuCoin endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /kucoin/v1/klines at 1 credit each.
Is there an official KuCoin API?+
Yes. KuCoin publishes API documentation and official SDKs, and its trading and account calls need API keys. API.SH is a separate, read-only service for public spot market data and needs no KuCoin keys.
Do I need a KuCoin account or API key?+
No. API.SH reads public KuCoin pages only. No endpoint uses a login, cookies or anyone's account. You do not need a KuCoin key, secret or passphrase.
Can I place trades or check my balance?+
No. API.SH returns public market data only. There are no orders, balances, deposits, withdrawals or futures endpoints.
How many candles and trades do I get?+
Candles come up to 1,500 a call, oldest first; pass next_end back as end to page further back. Recent trades return the latest 100, and the order book returns 20 or 100 levels a side.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /kucoin/v1/ticker with symbol set to a pair such as BTC-USDT. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
