API.SH vs the official Jobindex API
Jobindex does not offer a public REST API for searching job ads; the search results point to Apify actors and community scripts instead. API.SH gives you documented search and job-ad endpoints over the public site with no Jobindex account.
Instead of running Apify actors or keeping a Jobindex scraper working through site redesigns, use API.SH: one key, one JSON shape and a fixed price per call.
Jobindex API questions
What Jobindex data can I get?+
Job ad search results with title, company, rating, area, addresses, posting date, deadline, summary and apply link, plus facet ids for filters (/jobindex/v1/search), and one job ad with its full text in HTML and plain text (/jobindex/v1/job).
How much does the Jobindex API cost?+
Every Jobindex endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /jobindex/v1/job at 1 credit each.
Is there an official Jobindex API?+
No public one for reading job ads. Jobindex offers tools for employers posting jobs, but developers who want listings usually turn to scrapers. API.SH gives you that data through a documented API.
Do I need a Jobindex account or login?+
No. API.SH reads public Jobindex pages only. No endpoint logs in or applies to jobs.
Is there a free Jobindex API?+
API.SH is paid per call, but every account gets 1,000 free credits every month, which is enough to build and test a Jobindex integration before you pay anything.
Can I use the Jobindex API from Python?+
Yes. It is a plain HTTPS API that returns JSON, and there is a Python SDK. Search returns next_page; pass it back as page to get the next page of ads.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /jobindex/v1/search with q (for example java) and an area id from facets. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
