Why API.SH for Investing.com data

  • Public data only: no Investing.com login, cookies or account needed
  • One key and one response shape for Investing.com and 481 other platforms
  • Built and maintained by API.SH, not third-party publishers
  • Pay per call; errors on our side cost nothing
  • Live status for every endpoint

API.SH vs the official Investing.com API

Investing.com does not offer a public API because of its data provider licensing; it points developers to embeddable widgets and enterprise requests. Python packages like investpy stopped working after site changes. API.SH returns public Investing.com data as JSON, with blocks and retries handled for you.

Instead of patching investpy or investiny, writing your own Investing.com scraper, or comparing RapidAPI and Apify listings, API.SH gives you quotes, history, calendars and financials with one key and a fixed price per call.

Investing.com API questions

What Investing.com data can I get?+

Instrument search (/investing/v1/search), live quotes (/investing/v1/quote), historical prices (/investing/v1/historical), the economic calendar (/investing/v1/economic-calendar), the earnings calendar (/investing/v1/earnings-calendar), financial statements and ratios (/investing/v1/financials) and news headlines (/investing/v1/news).

How much does the Investing.com API cost?+

Every Investing.com endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /investing/v1/earnings-calendar at 1 credit each.

Is there an official Investing.com API?+

No. Investing.com says it cannot offer a public API because of its data provider agreements, and offers website widgets instead. API.SH reads public Investing.com pages and returns them as JSON.

Do I need an Investing.com account or InvestingPro?+

No. No endpoint uses a login or InvestingPro subscription. API.SH only returns public data.

Is Investing.com data real-time?+

Each call fetches the current page, so /investing/v1/quote returns the price Investing.com shows at that moment, including pre-market and after-hours prices. Some exchanges' quotes are delayed on Investing.com itself.

Is this a replacement for investpy?+

Yes for most uses. investpy no longer works reliably; /investing/v1/historical and /investing/v1/search cover its historical data and search, from Python or any language.

How do I get started?+

1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /investing/v1/historical with a symbol such as AAPL. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
