USAJOBS job announcement
One federal job announcement: title, agency, department and sub-organization, open and close dates, salary range, pay scale and grades, schedule, appointment and service type, telework, travel, clearance, series, hiring paths, locations, the overview facts and every section (summary, who may apply, duties, requirements and qualifications, how you will be evaluated, required documents, how to apply) as HTML and text, plus the apply link. Hiring-office contact people are left out. Give id (or the job URL), or search parameters (q, location, agency, ...) to open the first current result.
Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.
Parameters
| name | type | description |
|---|---|---|
id | string | Job id (the number in usajobs.gov/job/<id>). |
url | string | The job's usajobs.gov URL. |
q | string | Keywords: opens the first current search result (with the other search parameters). Example: nurse |
location | string | With q: city and state. Example: Denver, Colorado |
agency | string | With q: agency codes. |
Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).
Example
curl "https://api.api.sh/usajobs/v1/job" \
-H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY" import os, requests
res = requests.get(
"https://api.api.sh/usajobs/v1/job",
params={},
headers={"x-api-key": os.environ["APISH_KEY"]},
timeout=120,
)
res.raise_for_status()
data = res.json() const url = new URL("https://api.api.sh/usajobs/v1/job");
const res = await fetch(url, { headers: { "x-api-key": process.env.APISH_KEY } });
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`${res.status} ${await res.text()}`);
const data = await res.json(); Response
A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).
