News and announcements for a Steam game: patch notes, events and press coverage, newest first, with title, link, author, feed and text. Pass next_before back as before for older items.

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Parameters

nametypedescription
appidrequired string Steam app id, e.g. 730. Example: 730
count integer Items, 1-100 (default 20). Example: 20
maxlength integer Cut each text to this many characters (0 = full text). Example: 0
feeds string Comma-separated feed names, e.g. steam_community_announcements.
tags string Comma-separated tags, e.g. patchnotes.
before string Only items before this date (YYYY-MM-DD) or Unix time; use next_before.
url string Or a store.steampowered.com/app/... link instead of appid.

Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/steam/v1/news?appid=730" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
