Entities linked to another, paged: an artist's release groups or releases, a label's releases, a release group's releases, a recording's releases and so on. Give the linked entity as a parameter named after its type (artist=, label=, release=, release-group=, recording=, work=, area=, place=).

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Parameters

nametypedescription
type release-group | release | recording | work | event | label | artist | place What to list (default release-group). Example: release-group
artist string Artist id. Example: a74b1b7f-71a5-4011-9441-d0b5e4122711
label string Label id.
release string Release id.
release_type string Release type filter: album, single, ep, compilation, live, soundtrack ... (several separated by |).
status string Release status filter: official, promotion, bootleg, pseudo-release.
page integer Page number (default 1). Pass next_page back; null on the last page.
limit integer Results per page (1-100, default 25).

Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/musicbrainz/v1/browse?type=release-group" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
