Search a Fandom wiki

GET https://api.api.sh/fandom/v1/search
1 credit / call reference try it in the playground →

Full-text or title search on any Fandom wiki: page title, id, word count, size, last edit time, redirect and section matched, and the page URL. Pass next_cursor back as cursor; null on the last page.

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Parameters

nametypedescription
wikirequired string The wiki's name as in its address (harrypotter for harrypotter.fandom.com), or the wiki URL. Example: harrypotter
qrequired string Search words. Example: hogwarts
lang string Language edition of the wiki (e.g. de for starwars.fandom.com/de). Default English.
what text | prefix text (default) searches page text; prefix lists pages whose title starts with q.
namespace integer Namespace number (default 0, articles; 14 categories; 6 files).
limit integer Results per page (default 20, max 50).
cursor string next_cursor from the previous page.

Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/fandom/v1/search?wiki=harrypotter&q=hogwarts" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
