UK company profile
A UK company's register profile: name, number, status, type, incorporation and dissolution dates, registered office address, accounts (next and last made-up dates, next due date), confirmation statement dates, SIC codes with descriptions and previous names with their dates, and whether the company has registered charges (has_charges) or an insolvency history (has_insolvency_history). With include=charges it adds charges (total, outstanding, satisfied and part-satisfied counts, and each charge's description, status, created, delivered and satisfied dates, persons entitled, short particulars and link); with include=insolvency it adds insolvency (each case's type, dates and practitioners). Persons with significant control are on /companies-house/v1/pscs.
Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.
Parameters
| name | type | description |
|---|---|---|
numberrequired | string | Company number (8 characters; leading zeros may be left out). Example: 445790 |
include | string | Extra sections, comma-separated: charges (mortgages and charges, first page of the register's list) and/or insolvency (insolvency cases). Each adds to the cost of the call. |
Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).
Example
curl "https://api.api.sh/companies-house/v1/company?number=445790" \
-H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY" import os, requests
res = requests.get(
"https://api.api.sh/companies-house/v1/company",
params={"number": "445790"},
headers={"x-api-key": os.environ["APISH_KEY"]},
timeout=120,
)
res.raise_for_status()
data = res.json() const url = new URL("https://api.api.sh/companies-house/v1/company");
url.searchParams.set("number", "445790");
const res = await fetch(url, { headers: { "x-api-key": process.env.APISH_KEY } });
if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`${res.status} ${await res.text()}`);
const data = await res.json(); Response
A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).
