1 credit / call reference try it in the playground →

The papers an author has on arXiv: title, id and version, abstract, authors, published and updated dates, primary category and categories, comment, journal reference, DOI, and abstract, PDF and HTML links, with the total count. Newest first by default; sort by relevance, oldest or last updated, and narrow to one category. Paged.

Every response includes credits_used: the credits this call cost.

Parameters

nametypedescription
namerequired string Author name as written on papers, e.g. Yann LeCun. Example: Yann LeCun
category string Only papers in this arXiv category, e.g. cs.LG, cs.CV, hep-th.
sort relevance | newest | oldest | updated newest (default), oldest, updated or relevance.
limit integer Results per page, 1-100 (default 25).
page integer Pass next_page from the previous response.

Every endpoint also takes fresh, raw, fields (see lean responses and caching).

Example

curl "https://api.api.sh/arxiv/v1/author?name=Yann+LeCun" \
  -H "x-api-key: $APISH_KEY"

Response

A JSON object with the fields described above, plus raw (the source's own data), cached, fetched_at and credits_used. Errors return {"success": false, "error": "…"} with the HTTP status (see errors). A lookup that ran but found nothing (404) costs the price above; refused calls and errors on our side are free (what's charged).

The fastest way to see the full response is the playground: it runs this endpoint with your account and shows the exact JSON.
