+BambooHR API
Open jobs from any company's public BambooHR careers site, as JSON.
The API.SH BambooHR API reads the public careers sites companies host on BambooHR (company.bamboohr.com/careers) and returns their jobs as JSON. Get a company's careers profile with departments and every open job, list jobs with keyword, department, location, employment status and remote or hybrid filters, and open one job for its department, experience, compensation when shown, location, posting date, full description, application form fields and apply link. It covers public job postings only, not employee or HR records.

API.SH vs the official BambooHR API
Yes. BambooHR has a full official REST API, documented at documentation.bamboohr.com, for a company's own HR data such as employees, time off and reports; it needs an API key from a BambooHR account. API.SH does something different: it reads the public careers sites of any company on BambooHR, with no BambooHR account or key.
For public job postings, API.SH replaces writing a scraper for each company's BambooHR careers page, with one key and the same JSON format as other applicant tracking systems.
BambooHR API questions
What BambooHR data can I get?+
A company's careers-site profile with departments and open jobs (/bamboohr/v1/company), its open jobs with keyword, department, location, employment status and workplace filters (/bamboohr/v1/jobs), and one job with description, compensation when shown, form fields and apply link (/bamboohr/v1/job).
How much does the BambooHR API cost?+
Every BambooHR endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /bamboohr/v1/company at 1 credit each.
Is there an official BambooHR API?+
Yes. BambooHR's official API gives a company access to its own HR data, such as employee records, time off and reports, with an API key. API.SH covers only the public careers sites, which you can read for any company without that key.
Do I need a BambooHR account or API key?+
No. API.SH reads public BambooHR careers pages only. No endpoint uses a login, cookies or anyone's account, and you never need a BambooHR API key.
Can I get employee data with this API?+
No. API.SH returns public job postings only. For employee records, time off or payroll, use BambooHR's own API with your company's key.
Where is the API documentation?+
Request examples and every parameter for these endpoints are in the API.SH docs at https://api.sh/docs. BambooHR's own HR API is documented at documentation.bamboohr.com.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /bamboohr/v1/jobs with the company's BambooHR subdomain as company. Every parameter and request examples are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
