Pull the OnPromptAds AI prompt library, creators and prompt collections as clean JSON.
The API.SH OnPromptAds API returns public data from onpromptads.com, a marketplace of AI prompts for ad creatives and other uses, as structured JSON. Browse prompts with the site's filters and sorts (search text, ads or non-ads, category, AI tool, tags, free or paid, price, rating and publish dates), open one prompt for its public preview, ratings, related prompts and collections, and list creators and prompt bundles with their stats.

Why API.SH for OnPromptAds data
- Public data only: no OnPromptAds login, cookies or account needed
- One key and one response shape for OnPromptAds and 482 other platforms
- Built and maintained by API.SH, not third-party publishers
- Pay per call; errors on our side cost nothing
- Live status for every endpoint
API.SH vs the official OnPromptAds API
OnPromptAds does not publish a public developer API. API.SH reads the public prompt library and returns it as JSON; the full text of most prompts needs an OnPromptAds account, so only the public preview is returned for those.
Instead of writing a scraper for the OnPromptAds browse pages, use API.SH: one key, the library's own filters and a fixed price per call.
OnPromptAds API questions
What OnPromptAds data can I get?+
The prompt library with filters and sorts (/onpromptads/v1/prompts), one prompt with its preview, ratings, collections and related prompts (/onpromptads/v1/prompt), creators with their stats (/onpromptads/v1/creators) and prompt collections with prices and discounts (/onpromptads/v1/collections).
How much does the OnPromptAds API cost?+
Every OnPromptAds endpoint costs 1 credit per call. On a monthly plan 1,000 credits cost $1 (Starter is $50/month for 50,000 credits). Pay-as-you-go is $2 per 1,000 credits, with top-ups from $15 that never expire.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Every account gets 1,000 free credits every month. That is 1,000 calls to /onpromptads/v1/collections at 1 credit each.
Is there an official OnPromptAds API?+
No public one. API.SH reads the public onpromptads.com pages and returns them as JSON. It is not related to other ad or prompt tools with similar names.
Do I need an OnPromptAds account or login?+
No. API.SH uses no login. Because of that, prompts the site locks for signed-in users return prompt_text as null, with the public prompt_preview instead.
Can I get the full prompt text?+
Only where the site shows it publicly, mostly free prompts. For the rest, prompt_text is null and prompt_text_locked is true; you still get the preview, word count, price, rating and stats.
Can I use the OnPromptAds API from Python?+
Yes. It is a plain HTTPS API returning JSON, and there is an official API.SH Python SDK. Call /onpromptads/v1/prompts with a search q or a category.
How do I get started?+
1. Sign up at api.sh. 2. Copy your API key. 3. Call /onpromptads/v1/prompts with q set to a topic, then pass a prompt's slug to /onpromptads/v1/prompt. Request examples and every parameter are in the docs at https://api.sh/docs. You can also use the JS or Python SDK, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or the MCP server at https://api.sh/mcp.
